Who Can Access the Intranet?

Employees get secure, password-free intranet access based on your daily HR feed. Access updates automatically, shows only relevant content, and removes former employees with no manual work.

The Frontline Intranet is built to keep access seamless for employees and secure for employers — without requiring manual work from your admin team.

Here’s how access is managed automatically:

✅ Automatic Access for Active Employees

Anyone included in your daily employee feed from your HR or scheduling system will automatically be able to access the intranet — no extra setup required.

🔄 This feed is usually updated each day, so access stays accurate and current.

📲 Seamless Login — No Passwords Required

Employees don’t need a username or password to get in. Instead, they just:

  1. Enter their phone number on the intranet access screen.

  2. Receive a one-time text message with a verification code.

  3. Enter the code to securely access their intranet.

🔐 Only phone numbers on the current employee file will be verified.

👀 Role-Based Content Access

Each employee will only see the content that’s relevant to them, based on the data in your HR file — like:

  • Job title

  • Location

  • Pay type

  • Department, and more

This ensures employees are only seeing what they need, and nothing more. You can learn more about setting up segmented access in this article.

🚫 Instant Removal for Terminated Employees

As soon as an employee is removed from your HR feed, their intranet access is automatically deactivated.
This keeps company content secure and ensures only current employees have access.

🧘 No Manual Maintenance Needed

You don’t need to add, remove, or manage intranet access manually. It’s all tied to your automated daily feed, which means:

  • No outdated rosters

  • No permissions to manage

  • No forgotten removals

✅ If you need to support access for terminated employees, a separate intranet can be created just for them.
