Why Does It Say “Delivered” but the Employee Never Got the Message?
“Delivered” in goHappy means the mobile carrier accepted the message for delivery.
✅ What “Delivered” Actually Means
When a message shows Delivered in goHappy, it confirms:
-
✔️ The message successfully left goHappy’s system
-
✔️ The receiving mobile carrier (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) accepted the message for delivery
That’s where goHappy’s delivery confirmation ends.
Once the carrier accepts the message, a few things can still prevent it from appearing visibly on the employee’s phone.
🚫 Why an Employee Might Not See the Message
Even with a Delivered status, messages can be blocked or filtered at the device or carrier level.
1. The Phone Is Filtering or Blocking the Number
Many smartphones automatically filter texts from unknown numbers.
-
Messages may land in “Filtered Messages” or “Spam”
-
Some devices silently block unknown senders
-
The employee may not receive a notification
2. The Mobile Carrier Filtered the Message
Carriers sometimes filter or block messages — especially bulk or business messaging.
This filtering happens after goHappy shows Delivered, because the carrier already accepted it.
🔎 What To Do Next
If an employee says they didn’t receive a message, follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Have Them Check Filtered or Spam Folders
On iPhone:
-
Open Messages
-
Tap Edit (top left)
-
Select Filtered Messages
On Android:
The process varies by device and carrier — look for Spam, Blocked, or Filtered messages.
Step 2: Ask Them to Text START to Your goHappy Number
Even if they haven’t opted out, sending START can:
-
Clear certain carrier-level blocks
-
Reconfirm messaging permissions
-
Restore normal message flow
You can find your goHappy phone number on your dashboard.
Step 3: Have Them Save the goHappy Number as a Contact
This is one of the most effective long-term fixes. When employees save the number:
-
📲 Their phone recognizes it as trusted
-
🚫 Filtering is less likely
-
🔔 Notifications are more consistent
