3. Click the **Rewards** tab
4. In the left navigation under **History**, click **Redemption History**

What the Redemption History Shows

Every row in the table represents one redemption transaction and shows both the Points value and the dollor value of the redemption.

Using Redemption History for Payroll & Taxes

Rewards such as gift cards and cash-equivalent redemptions are often considered taxable income. Your organization is responsible for determining how rewards should be treated for tax purposes.

The Redemption History report contains everything your payroll team needs to account for rewards at year-end or during regular payroll processing:

- Employee name and phone number
- Job title and location
- **Employee ID** — matches your payroll system's identifier for easy cross-referencing
- Points redeemed and dollar value of each transaction

Recommended process:
1. At the end of each payroll period or year, export the Redemption History data
2. Share the report with your payroll team
3. Your payroll team reconciles the redemptions against employee wages for tax reporting purposes

💡 Tip: Employees may have multiple rows in the report if they redeemed more than once. Each redemption is recorded as a separate transaction.

Use the search and filter tools to narrow your view:

- Search by date — find all redemptions in a specific time period
- Search by name — look up a specific employee's redemptions
- Search by amount — filter by point value or dollar amount
- Filter by job title, location, or employee ID — segment the data for specific teams or locations

The table is paginated with up to 100 rows per page. Use the navigation arrows at the bottom right to move between pages.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far back does Redemption History go?
The full history of all redemptions since your program launched is available.

Can I export the Redemption History?
Yes — use the export/folder icons on the Job Title, Location, and Employee ID columns to export data. For a full export, contact your goHappy Customer Success Manager.

Will employees owe taxes on their rewards?
Possibly. In many cases, rewards such as gift cards or cash-equivalent redemptions are considered taxable income. Your employer is responsible for determining how rewards are treated for tax purposes — employees may see any applicable taxes reflected on their paystub or year-end tax forms. Employees with questions about how rewards affect their personal taxes should consult their HR/payroll team or a tax professional.

What if an employee redeemed multiple times in one day?
Each redemption appears as a separate row in the history, even if they occurred on the same day. All transactions are captured.

An employee says they redeemed but I don't see it in history — what should I do?
Check that you're viewing the full date range. If the redemption still doesn't appear, the transaction may not have completed successfully. Contact your goHappy Customer Success Manager for assistance.

Is this the same data Tremendous has on their end?
Yes. The Redemption History reflects all transactions processed through Tremendous for your account.
