Overview

The Leader Feedback Report is designed to assist you in identifying and taking actions that will create a more engaging workplace experience for your frontline employees. The Report includes: the results of your Engagement Survey; a worksheet for Action Planning; and a description of the goHappy Engagement Model.

Research shows that engaged employees work harder, smarter, are more committed, and strive to exceed expectations. Organizations with more engaged employees have lower absenteeism, higher productivity, lower turnover, and fewer injuries. They also see higher revenues, profits, and customer satisfaction.

Creating a workplace experience that boosts employee engagement and leads to better business results is something every organization can choose to do. However, less than half of U.S. employees are "engaged," meaning they are involved, enthusiastic, and committed to their work. Most employees are either "disengaged," doing just enough to keep their job, or "actively disengaged," working against the organization's goals.

Gallup's research in thousands of organizations found that 70% of the difference in engagement scores between the highest and lowest engaged organizations is determined solely by the leader. This statistic highlights the opportunity available to all frontline leaders for increasing the engagement level of their employees.

Feedback Report

The data collected through the goHappy Engagement Survey provides a gauge of how your employees perceive their workplace experience and their level of engagement. Your individual survey results, compared to the results of the organization overall, are presented in three categories:

  1. Employee Engagement - measures the strength of 6 behaviors that define the degree to which the employee is engaged;

  1. Employee Experience - measures the strength of 14 key factors that have a direct influence on the employee's level of engagement; and

  1. Leader Actions - measures the strength of 4 key actions taken by leaders to produce an engaging workplace experience.

As you review the results, think of this feedback from employees as a way to help everyone grow and reach their full potential. The employees’ honest feedback gives you a chance to see things from their perspective and learn from their experiences. We hope that the insights you gain will help you grow as a leader and make employee engagement one of your top priorities.

Action Plan

This section is designed to make action-planning an integral part of the survey process. Conducting a survey automatically sets an expectation among employees that prompt and relevant actions will be taken by leadership. Not doing so will cause employees to feel deflated and that their feedback wasn’t important or valued. It will also affect their willingness to participate in future surveys.

Even though the Feedback Report shows only that portion of employees who feel positive or engaged, it’s the remaining portion of employees who deserve special focus in formulating follow-up actions.These are the employees who are “yet-to-be-engaged”. Most, if not all, of these employees want to feel valued and connected and have the potential to be more engaged. Finding ways to engage this group of employees represents a huge upside opportunity for you and for the organization overall.

Taking into consideration the overall results of the survey and the three lowest-scored items, what will be your top 2 priority areas for follow-up actions:
